Luminato Festival – June 10th to 26th
With multiple locations over two weeks, Luminato is a global festival with free and ticketed events featuring performance and visual arts, music, theatre, literature, film, dance, magic, food and much more. 2016 marks the festival’s 10th year and they are celebrating by turning a decommissioned power plant into the world’s largest multi-arts centre under one roof. North by Northeast Music Festival – June 15th to June 19th
NXNE is brings together music with comedy, technology, visual art and film in a gathering for artists, industry and the fans. With over 350,000 attendees each year, this will be the 22nd anniversary of the festival. This year’s venue is located in the east end in the Port Lands by the lake. Vintage and emerging artists will take the stage with names like:

- · Devin Cuddy Band

CHIN International Picnic – June 17th to 19th
Celebrating their 50th year, the CHIN picnic celebrates the multiculturalism and diversity of Canada in our great city of Toronto. Located in the heart of Little Italy, this free event features performers from all over the world. International dance groups, musicians, international cuisine, and cultural vendors round out the fun to be had at the CHIN International Picnic. This event will be fun for the entire family.
Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival – June 18th and 19th
Located on Toronto’s Centre Island, the Tim Hortons Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival is in its 28th year and brings together up to 200 teams with 5,000 athletes for this must-see race and festival.
Taste of Toronto – June 23rd to 26th
Foodies delight! Located at the Garrison Common at Fort York, this delicious event features the best chefs and restaurants in the city, displaying their gastronomic wares for your tasting. Sample gourmet food and drinks, buy artisanal products and participate in some great cooking demonstrations and live demonstrations. Ticket prices vary depending on level of service and there are private dining packages available. The Metro Master Class is not to be missed and Taste Theatre is pretty cool too. Head to the Tasting Room for $5 wine tasting sessions with winemakers and experts, as well learn how to pair food and drink.
Pride Festival – June 24th to July 3rd
One of Toronto’s largest festivals, Pride celebrates the diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions of the people of Toronto and beyond. Beginning with the free flag raising ceremony at Queen’s Park on June 1st, Pride Month starts, with true festivities starting on the 24th and the large parade happening on July 3rd.
