Today we examine one of the most thriving areas of Toronto for new home buyers, a neighbourhood called Liberty Village.



This wonderful neighbourhood in Toronto is thriving with bars, jobs, schools, and a booming population. Liberty Village is in fact one of the fastest growing areas in Toronto (and the country). For example, from 2006-2011, the population in this area increased by an astounding 43.5% and is still growing at a rapid pace today.


What makes Liberty Village so desirable? Investment potential, prices, population growth, the local economy, and culture are just a few reasons as to why Torontonians are choosing to make Liberty Village their home.


If you build it, they will come… developers continue to look to Liberty Village as a premier destination for new residential construction. There are approximately 23 new highrise condos in the area and many of these are priced aggressively to sell.


Another reason people are flocking to Liberty Village is the potential for work. To the west end of Liberty Village, there has been an influx of startups which have occupied old warehouses and studios. According to Techvibes, two Top 100 Canadian Startups: Uberflip and Learnhub, have headquarters in Liberty Village. Not to mention, Liberty Village is just a short walk away from Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood, which Vogue magazine listed as the “2nd Coolest Neighbourhood in the World.”

With great restaurants, a vibrant nightlife, a booming local economy, and a rising population, it’s clear to understand why people are eager to live in this thriving community. With its close proximity to downtown Toronto, the Gardiner Expressway, and countless transit options including extra buses on King St West which go directly to Union Station, Liberty Village is a great place to purchase a home.
